Balancing AskTy and Trying to Change the World

It’s the first time I’ve written an AskTy blog in several months. It feels strange and almost a little surreal. I miss this part of connecting and communicating with you all. Each week, I made it point to sit down and try to craft compelling, meaningful content – always with the intention of giving back and sharing successes with you.

Started From the Bottom Now We’re Here

If there is one thing I have learned through the AskTy journey, it’s that people want to connect with each other and get validation that we are moving in the right direction. And that is exactly why I started AskTy in early 2015.

Over the past several years, thousands of you have emailed me, commented on posts, and engaged in the 30 Day Challenge, my course, and Ty’s 35. You’ve listened, shared, learned, and asked for advice. It’s been an incredible experience and I’ve made some awesome connections with so many of you.

Since AskTy started, I’ve written 193 posts, made 392 videos, and answered thousands of direct messages. Together we have built an incredible resource full of wacky ideas, outside the box tactics, and touched on tried-and-true methods of marketing.

AskTy was never about making money. Remember when we tried charging for exclusive content? ? It went against everything I believed in. You can read more about why I stopped charging for content here. AskTy has always been about making real estate better and giving back to the industry that gave me so much.

Finding Balance and Changing the World

Lately, I’ve been wrestling with how to balance the growth of my company and maintaining AskTy. SkySlope now has over 100 employees, we’ve partnered with Fidelity National Financial, and we’re evolving and growing at breakneck speed. The past six months have been a whirlwind, to say the least.

SkySlope is building revolutionary products and partnering with incredible leaders in the industry to change the way agents and brokers do business. Being at the helm of SkySlope, I know I am making real estate better, and not just for SkySlope users but for all real estate professionals and consumers.

Will AskTy be back?

Most definitely. I’ll do my best to keep answering any questions that come in but I likely won’t be posting new content and my response time might not be as quick.

If you have a specific question, chances are I have an answer on my blog. Hit up that search bar! Most posts have videos attached but you can also search my social media channels.

You can also follow SkySlope on Facebook. My team and I will be there with updates on what SkySlope is up to and you’ll probably catch glimpses of me on those channels.

Keep Crushing It!

I hope you continue to crush it and strive to build relationships with people. Get out there. Grow your referral business. It’s the best way to win at real estate.

No matter where you are at in your business, never stop looking for opportunities to learn and grow.

I can’t wait to come back and see your successes!

PS: Don’t keep AskTy a secret! There are tons of valuable resources that can help agents. Become a mentor and share the love!
